Learning Zone

Science - How we see

We have been learning about how we see and how light travels in straight lines. We are now able to identify opaque, transparent and translucent objects and know that opaque objects reflect light completely. We worked in small groups to show how light reflects off objects enabling us to see those objects!

Maths - Place Value

We completed some outdoor learning by identifying cards around the school grounds and using our knowledge to identify the value of each digit. Each clue led us to a final clue to reveal a big number!

D.T - Following Recipes

We have been looking closely at Mexican food so far in D.T. We worked as a class to create some of our very own Mexican Food! Half of us created guacamole whilst the other half created some 'Bread of the Dead'. Once cooked, we tried it and it was yummy!!

P.E - Multi-skills

This half term, we have been provided the opportunity to work alongside Blackburn Rovers coaches who are delivering our P.E lessons. We are currently focussing on multi-skills.

WORLD PEACE DAY - Monday 21st September 2020

Today we celebrated World Peace Day. We discussed what World Peace Day is and then found out how it was first established and when. We identified the promises that the United Nations agreed on 38 years ago! We then created our own 'Hands of Peace' and identified how we could share Peace in our world.
