With our topic this term being Stargazers, our main focus is Science! We are looking at the solar system in great detail and researching information about the planets orbiting the sun!

We have used Oreo's to display the phases of the moon... and then we ate them!

English - Biographies

Neil Armstrong has been the centre of attention in English. We have been looking at his moon-landing in 1969 and using our research skills to find and create notes about his life before space, during space and after space. Using the research, we have written some fantastic biographies all about Neil and his courageous work!

D.T - Biscuits

Our D.T topic this term is based around biscuits. We are researching and tasting existing products, carrying out customer research, designing our own biscuits and then making some tasty biscuits to share!

Here are some of our tasty creations!!

P.E - Dance

In our P.E lessons we are creating some cool space dance routines. We are using our knowledge of how humans move in space to create our own rendition!

We have also been using the apparatus to complete balances which will help to develop our routines!!

Art and Design - Abstract Art

Peter Thorpe has been our inspiration this term. He is an abstract artist who uses a variety of skills to create abstract backgrounds and then places a focused piece of art on top of his backgrounds, depending on his topic. We are looking at space art. Here are our before and after photos.
(After photos to follow).

History - Space Exploration

We have been researching the Early Exploration of Space and have used our research to create some wonderful timelines. Can you believe that the first animal in space was a fruit fly in 1947? By 2030, NASA are hoping for humans to explore asteroids!! That could be one of us working for NASA and using our skills to find research!

This led us to discuss and research the work and findings of Galileo!!
