LEARNING ZONE ...
English - Poetry
Poetry has been a fun and exciting topic to cover in our English lessons. We read the poem 'The Sound Collector' by Roger McGough and then used the poem to write our own poems about sounds we could steal from around school! Once we had completed them, we performed them to the class.
Geography - Capital Cities
In our Geography lessons this half term we are taking a trip around Europe. We have been working in small groups to identify countries in Europe and their capital cities. We have then use our countries to complete a class jigsaw of Europe!
History - Music Through Time
With our topic this term being Playlist, in our History lessons we have been looking at Music through time. In our first lesson, we looked at the different eras of Music and created a chronological timeline to show this! We will be focusing in on each era in detail over the next few weeks.
Science - Electricity
We have been looking at electricity and common appliances around our homes. We have also created some simple circuits using a bulb, wires and a cell. We have drawn our circuits using symbols to represent each component.
