World Book Day 2022 (Friday 3rd March)
The Children loved World Book Day this year! We saw so many well known characters like The Mad Hatter, Little Red Riding Hood, Iron Man, Belle, The Hungry Caterpillar, Willy Wonka and more! See some of the great pictures we took below!

Kingswood Residential - Year 5 2022
Year 3 Nature Walk!
On Thursday 24th February, Year 3 took part in a beautiful nature walk all around Shadsworth! Year 3 also looked after the are by cleaning up any rubbish that they found on the way. Great work everyone!
Ballet with Ruth Pugh, from the Northern Ballet!

On Wednesday the 23rd February, A lady called Ruth visited us and gave our children the chance to learn Ballet. They thoroughly loved every second of it!
Words from Ruth:
"Well done to all the children that took part in the workshops! It was great to see you all dance as different characters from the show and use your imaginations when creating movements. Keep dancing!"
Year 3 and 4 with Ribble Rivers Trust!
On Wednesday 23rd February, Year 4 got the special opportunity to work with Ribble Rivers Trust to plant some newly growing trees! They dug out holes, planted the saplings and prepared them for growing up straight in the many years to come.

On Tuesday 22nd February 2022, Andy Tooze came in to teach us poetry! He visited lots of classes before doing a great big and fun assembly sharing all of the poems we made on that day. Everyone loved it, thank you Andy Tooze!
Out of This World!
On Tuesday 10th November years 5 & 6 were lucky enough to have a special visitor in school.
Dave from ‘Auriga Astronomy’ spent the morning showing the children his amazing planetarium and sharing his endless knowledge on all things space related!
The morning was a super way to help introduce this half terms topic, ‘Stargazers’ and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. 💫✨🔭
