Year 1

WELCOME TO YEAR 1

A big welcome to all of you now that you have started in Year 1. You have all made an amazing start and look so smart in your new uniforms. Our Topic is Childhood Memories and the children will be learning so much more as they delve into the curriculum subjects such History, Geography, Art, Science and so many more. I have added a parent grid and homework grid for you to have a look at and their are some useful website links below. If you have any concerns please DOJO us to arrange a time to speak to us, of course we are happy for a quick chat at the door but if you need longer please let us make some time for that special chat. The children will need to bring their reading book daily and we will change these as frequently as we can, all children will read a guided reading book and shared read everyday in class. PE kits will be required on Tuesday and Thursday as the children will be taking part in dance lessons as well as PE sessions with Blackburn Rovers. Thank you as always for your continued support and we all look forward to a fantastic year with you.

A prayer to share
