Don't forget! Children can access 'Mathletics' at home. This fantastic resource allows your child to extend and consolidate the learning we have begun in class. It is tailored to their level and ability and is a great way for you to work together at home. If you don't have internet access then they are welcome to attend Mathletics club, which is on every day in school.

Times Tables Rockstars is another fantastic online resource that can be accessed from home (or anywhere with an internet connection!) and is an excellent tool to aid your child's learning. Times tables are the bed rock to so much of our maths work and are vitally important in upper Key Stage Two.

Reading books

Reading is a vital part of everyday learning and provides a foundation to learning in any subject and at any level. It is also vitally important that we develop a love and enjoyment of reading which will then enable our reading and learning to flourish!

Reading books will be changed every Friday. We ask that children have their books in school every day for class reading so that we create a good home-school dialogue within their reading records! We also urge for children to read their books at home to develop their skills even further. Read anything and everything as often as you can!

PE day is THURSDAY! Due to the current COVID situation, children are to come in to school wearing PE kit on Thursdays. P.E kit is a plain top in the colour of their house-team, black shorts and trainers.

Homework will be given out on a Friday and should be returned by the following Friday. They will also receive spellings to learn. Both will be relevant to the learning taken place during that week.

There will also be a project homework each half-term. This links into our current topic and children are asked to present their work to the class as a speaking and listening activity. You can download a copy of each project on the linked page for the relevant half-term.
