Micro:Bit

This term the students have been given the opportunity to programme micro:bits.  The school has been given 30 micro:bits from the Micro:bit Educational Foundation, BBC and Nominet.

The micro:bit allows children to learn about how computers work. They can learn about coding and programming as well as about inputs and outputs so that they can learn about computer science and STEM topics.  For more information on how micro:bits work please click here.

Not only are we using micro:bits in our computing curriculum for example in year4 we made data loggers but we are using them in our micro bit club to create radio transmitters, game controllers and much more.
